What is Supported Independent Living (SIL)?

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is an NDIS service that provides individuals with a disability the opportunity to live on their own or with others in a shared living space. SymCare is a specialist SIL service provider that offers a range of properties to choose from.

What is Sil at SymCare?

At SymCare, we aim to provide our customers with a comfortable and secure home environment, while also offering support with everyday tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and personal care. We can also assist with attending appointments, taking medication, and learning new skills like catching public transport.

Can I make my own decisions?

Our customers are an integral part of household routines and decisions, and we encourage communication and participation in household meetings. We take great care to ensure that our customers are matched with compatible housemates and have a comfortable living environment.

Expenses

Please note that SIL is funded under Core Supports – Assistance with Daily Life in your NDIS plan, but the NDIS does not cover expenses such as rent, board, transport, and day-to-day activities. At SymCare, we bill in accordance with the NDIS Price Guide.
